It was pretty good. I can't quite put my finger on why I'm not more enthusiastic about calling it great. I laughed at all the funny parts, I cried (well, not really but close) at the sad parts. Maybe the title character was a little too unlikable (her story is about her redemption, but maybe they went a little too far in places). Maybe it was too much effort for me to decipher the british accents. Or maybe I was just tired.
And yeah, Peter O'toole is excellent. But he won't win the oscar. And you know what, he wasn't even the best geezer of the year. But nobody knows that, because nobody saw Donald Sutherland geeze it up brilliantly in "Aurora Borealis". Anyway, now I've seen all the best actor nominees.
