Today's apple, after recommendations from co-workers and Brian's comments, I chose a Pink Lady. I have to tell you, once I was at the store the much bigger Fuji apples (the biggest currently at the Raley's in Fremont) were tempting, but I had a plan and I stuck to it.
The Pink Lady is a delicious apple. Nearly as hard and crisp as a Granny Smith, but sweeter (though still a little tart, which I like). It was so delicious, I ate it core and all. Here's what it looked like before I ate it:

Way to go Jason. One more day! One more day! I'll be interested to see a post 5 days after you quit to see if all the weight stayed off. A second question: are your pants looser?

ReplyDeleteDifferent subject but did you hear about Valley of the Heart's Delight? It's a movie based on the true story of a lynching in San Jose during the depression. It got a big writeup in the Chronicle about a month ago.

Glad you liked the Pink Lady. Here's to tomorrow's apple being really big to make up for it...
