A rare negative review agreement between us....Wow! A rare negative review agreement between us.

Based on the people sitting near me, this movie was preaching to the choir.

I couldn't help but wonder two things - 1) how much of the "special period" was caused by Cuba's over-reliance on the Soviet Union for oil imports? Regardless of your opinion on the subject, the US embargo on trade with Cuba must have contributed to the severity of the problem. Most other countries will never have to go through a energy shortage of that severity so they will have longer lead-times in developing alternative energy strategies.
2) They only mentioned in passing that Cuba is now importing oil from Venezuela. I wonder how much of the conservation and other measures have diminished since Chavez's largesse. They mentioned that bicycles quickly disappeared as other modes of transportation became available. I wonder what will disappear if oil supplies return to "normal" levels in Cuba.

This film sucked. It had decent production values and told its story well enough but the obvious bias of the filmmaker was an insult to the audience.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08674155361966881745noreply@blogger.com
